someday – NOKKO
Morning mist on the avenue
Waiting for my cab
I saw a girl all dressed up in blue
Looking rather sad
Our eyes met when I looked at her
She shyly turned away
I wanted so much to comfort her
But I didn’t know what I should say
She couldn’t be more than seventeen
Her leather shoes well worn
A little bow covered up her dress
Where it had once been torn
I slowly reached inside my purse
And asked if I could help
She softly smiled and then shock her head
And this is what she said
Someday something good will happen
Maybe someday soon
searching for someday’s the answer
Yes, I believe it’s true
Maybe someday is tomorrow
Maybe it’s today
Anyway, I know it’s up to me
For me to find the way
I was shocked and a bit confused
The wisdom in her eyes
She held my gaze for a moment
And she did’n seem a surprised
As tears were filling up my eyes
And I could barely see
Beside myself,
I realized the message there for me
Someday something good will happen
Maybe someday soon
searching for someday’s the answer
Yes, I believe it’s true
Maybe someday is tomorrow
Maybe it’s today
Anyway, I know it’s up to me
For me to find the way
She couldn’t be more than seventeen
Her leather shoes well worn
A little bow covered up her dress
Where it had once been torn
For someday waiting patiently
The years beyond her age
She touched my hand as she terned to go
Then smiled and walked away
She touched my hand as she terned to go
Then smiled and walked away
Yes, smiled and walked away
Just smiled and walked away
