PAINFUL – Homecomings
I read my favorite story over and over
Thinking of the same scenery
I pick one again and again
From piles of half-finished books
Sometimes hearing a song that I haven’t listened to lately
I hope the night stays empty just for a moment
I light a candle clumsily
Let’s wait till the sky will fill me up
This one night remains forever
Perfect blue sky, wasn’t it?
The melody comes out of the receiver
It might be easier to pretend not to remember
Than being nervous about the ending
It would be painful if I see you in my dream
We have the same conversation over and over
On the way which nobody else knows again and again
I rewrite the words that I need to tell you
I will never forget that warm moment in the sunset
I hope the night stays empty
That’s the only thing I want
I light a candle clumsily
Let’s wait till the sky will fill me up
This one night remains forever
Perfect full moon, isn’t it?
The melody comes out of the receiver
It might be easier to pretend not to remember
Than being nervous about the ending
It would be painful if I see you in my dream
Please don’t set a time limit
to keep me away from my sorrow
