Broken strings they’ve been used and thrown away
Thoughtlessly they’ve been used and thrown away
My guitar always the same
But the strings forever change

As I sat gazing at my new strings
I started to contemplate the past
I wanted all those old strings back
That had been heaved so carelessly in the trash
